The significance of flowers and trees was an integral part. I made cyanotypes of Rosemary representing remembrance and memory and the Weeping Willow tree, a tree planted in many cemeteries in Europe and painted by Monet after the loss of his son during WW1. ‘Endlessness’ was exhibited at The Broderick Gallery, Hull School of Art \u0026amp; Design 2018. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 60.0pt; mso-pagination: none;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(64, 64, 64);\"\u003e\u003ci\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Optima;\"\u003e“\u003cb\u003eA cyanotype\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cspan style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"\u003e, is\u003c\/span\u003e a simple and elegant process, involving two chemical compounds: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide. The paper is then dried in the dark and is ready to be placed under a negative (to make a print) or a flat object (to make a photogram) and exposed to the rays of the sun. The only other chemical compound involved is one that is often taken for granted: water.
