Tunhill Rocks

Holly is a graphic designer and illustrator/artist with a BA Hons in Graphic Design and Illustration from Bath Spa University. She lives in the Teign Valley with her young family. Holly collects inspiration from coastal trips, surfing and trail runs. In her paintings, Holly tries to capture landscape and waterscape scenes through dynamic and graphic compositions in ink and gouache. She aims to convey the brilliance of nature through hyperreal colour.

Holly seeks remote locations on foot, running long distances over difficult terrain to wild places, where she finds a sense of escapism. This daydream-state recreation finds its way into her work, through colour and abstraction. She collects ideas mentally, photographically, or by sketch on location. More recently, she has taken a large canvas to an exposed cliff path, Steeple Point in North Cornwall, which provided both joy and challenge in the wind.
