Ant Pipe is a visual artist living and working in Devon, UK. He graduated at The Royal College of Art with an MA in Painting in 1992. He has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally in Canada and France and sold his work at Cork Street in London. After a long hiatus he has returned to working in oil on canvas, adding watercolour and sculpture to his practice in recent years. Described as ‘Lyrical Abstraction’, his colourful work is deeply rooted in lived sensory experiences in nature, the landscape, place and the body.
Of ‘Continuous Feel’, his first solo-show in 30 years, Ant says, “As much as anything these paintings are about valuing the immediacy of touch and instant gratification, working with it in a transformative way before the inner- critic starts to labour”
